Wow! It has been such a long time since I wrote on this.
So a bit of an update on where I am in life in general and in psychology.
So I completed two years of an undergraduate degree in DBS at home in Ireland. After two years of loving my courses and wanting more, I wasn't finding any kind of internships or really anyone to help me with my search. Also I had always wanted to do a semester or a year abroad but DBS didn't have any abroad connects.
So! I made the big decision to instead transfer abroad for my final two years to be immersed in a new culture and way of life, get in some internship and research experience, and to broaden my horizons in psychology.
So I am now writing from the sunshine state; Orlando, Florida and am a proud student of the University of Central Florida.
I have only been here for just over two weeks and have participated in 4 research studies, which I will be telling you all about, and have started classes which I love.
As it also falls within the world of psychology, I will be writing about some of my experiences here, all of which I am loving so far. Seriously, anyone thinking about taking at least a semester abroad, please do it! I am only here such a short time already, but I am loving the change and all that UCF and Florida in general has to offer.
Check in soon! Jen
